从心开始

Every act of love begins from the heart. One of my new year resolutions is to learn to demonstrate love to those around me, especially my immediate family, in action and not just plain talk. Things are always easier said than done. I have grown lazy - it is easier to use my brain and my mouth than to carry out tasks that require physical labor.
God is gracious. He helps me to enjoy the chores that my authoritarian aunt assigned even though I resisted her commands in my heart at first.
"Abram Promised a Son" was the main theme of Genesis 15. It reminded me again that God is the initiator and we, his created beings, respond to Him. I asked the Lord for a vision or a promise that I can hold on to like Abram. Something like "Vivien Promised a Husband".
On one hand I enjoy the annual meeting up with relatives, especially my favourite 阿舅KS. On the other hand, I dread the well-meaning concerns they have for me in terms of "when are you getting married?". Oh, what an irony!
